Butterfly Baskets is a non-profit organization in Exton, PA that provides comfort care baskets and on-going support to parents going through pregnancy challenges, miscarriage, stillbirth, and baby loss. They were looking for an updated logo as they continue to expand their services and have continuously requested more designs.
I talked to the nonprofit founder about what she felt the logo should convey. After we talked, I sent her a survey to make sure I had all the right information to put me on the right track to creating Butterfly Basket’s new logo. This is just a sampling of the questions I asked.

To start the brainstorming process with the logo, I started out with sketching some ideas on paper.
This included creating variations of the logo that were horizontal and stacked, as well as logos with the “Pregnancy and baby loss support” caption, colored logos, and 1-color logos.
In order to reveal the new logo, I had the idea to make a caring animation that is a shortened version of the brochure Butterfly Baskets hands out with their care baskets.
In order to keep consistency across Butterfly Basket’s social channels, I designed cover photos and new profile pictures for Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
Mother's day can be incredibly hard for parents who have been through pregnancy loss and baby loss. I created cards to hand out on Bereaved Mother's Day to let mothers know we remember their children.
Butterfly Baskets was in need of a new brochure with their new branding. This brochure is used to hand out to parents immediately after loss to let them know there is support out there, they are not alone, and gives them places to find extra support.
Butterfly Baskets now has consistent branding across all their social media channels and we continue to update their printed materials with their new vector logo.
